Alternative survival rifles
I know most of our folks probably own AR-15/AK47 type rifles. These can be looked at in many different ways. As a former state/federal LEO, these draw too much un-needed attention. Something that should be considered. If a person were seen carrying above they may be targeted by LEO/other survivalists as a target. One thing that may lighten the look you get from others is a lever action in pistol calibers. The 357/44 mag lever action carbines are as versatile as any thing out there. Either of these in our area can handle any situation we are liable to encounter. They are also compatible with ammunition for your handgun. One caliber makes ammo logistics not so much of a challenge. These little gems are quick to reload without the hassle of removable/easily lost detachable magazines, they are easy to top off when needed. Just a thought.

Joeinfl, I'm a big fan of the Lever Action having 30/30, 44, 444 carbines, when ever I'm on horseback I have my Ruger SB 44 and my Winchester 44 carbine! I also know several LEOs where the 30/30 is department issued in place of the 12ga, imo the 30/30 lever action is one of the best defensive long arms one can have, the 30/30 is a main stay in my pickup. Ammo logistics is very important, the wheel gun is still very practicable and far more robust than an auto!

We who are ready will survive for we are mentally equipped to do so
