American Survival Guide is back, but in order for the publisher to make it a monthly they have to see good sales of the individual issues they have published:
http://engagedmediamags.com/outdoors/mag...viva-Guide Absolutely loved this magazine as a teenager in the 80s. UPDATE!: I read the Spring 2013 issue front-to-back. The magazine has more of a civilian feel now with very little featuring of military surplus. Lots of high-dollar gear is advertised, probablto help cover costs. It looks more polished and less grass-roots. Lots of the information is presented in bites and the articles are not long. One issue covers a wide range of general information, rather than reviews of specific gear. My one complaint is the use of very small fonts. I frequently had to squint to read the inesets and captions. (Darn backspace not working properly again.) I sent a note about this to the editor.
